Learn More About the Global Business Fellows Program

The Baratta Center focuses on “Shaping the Future of Global Business and Education.”

The underlying premise of that focus is that globalization and globalism are undergoing numerous tectonic shifts and significant changes shaped by geopolitics, trade, climate change, scarce resources, food insecurity, AI and technology, economic and investment trends, and demographics, as well as an emerging desire by many individuals and institutions to do good for the world.

Baratta Center Welcomes Caroline Nguyen, New Executive Director

The Baratta Center’s mission is to develop principled, globally-minded leaders who can successfully navigate and shape our interconnected world. Nguyen will work to deepen the center’s partnerships with corporations, global executives, and policymakers; expand its student programming and co-curricular offerings; and help position the Baratta Center as the destination for students who want to lead at the intersection of business and the wider world. Alongside Academic Director Steve Weymouth, she will also play an active role in supporting the Global Business Fellows (GBF) program, a joint McDonough–School of Foreign Service initiative that gives undergraduate students a distinctive grounding in international business and international affairs — a program for which her background is a natural fit.
