Corporate Membership Examples
One of the main objectives of Baratta Center for Global Business is to be the venue for discussing and shaping the future of global business by connecting the corporate community to students, faculty, and academic and applied research. Leveraging the reach of our board and Georgetown’s global network, the Baratta Center has worked with companies such as Blackstone, JPMorgan Chase, Continental Grain, Citi, Audi, Estée Lauder, IFC, Colgate Palmolive, and others to address key issues facing business.
Government Partnership Examples
Recognizing that most global business issues sit at the intersection of corporate and government viewpoints, Georgetown has routinely interfaced with government organizations in the United States and around the world. The Baratta Center draws upon the experiences of the faculty and alumni of the McDonough School of Business, the McCourt School of Public Policy, the Walsh School of Foreign Service, and the Department of Economics to engage multiple departments and policy groups from the U.S. government, foreign governments, and multilateral organizations (e.g., the World Bank), These lead to perspectives, roundtable discussions, speaker series, whitepapers, and other engagements on topics such as trade policy, energy subsidies, the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act, and others.
Nonprofit Partnership Examples
The Baratta Center strives to find synergies and build partnerships with leading nonprofits in order to amplify the voice of society within the business world, ensuring that corporate decisions and actions align with the values and needs of the communities they serve and helping foster responsible and sustainable business practices.
The Baratta Center will continue to strengthen current engagements and look for additional partners to connect the business community and Georgetown McDonough’s faculty and students in mutually beneficial relationships.
